Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan.
- Mash ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually fold into the banana mixture until just combined.
- Mix remaining cinnamon with a few tablespoons of sugar. Pour one-third of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
- Add remaining batter and swirl with a knife to create a cinnamon ribbon pattern. Repeat with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a more intense cinnamon flavor, increase the amount of cinnamon in the swirl.
- Chopped nuts or chocolate chips can be added to the batter before baking for extra texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
