  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups of diced potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice the potatoes into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Slice the smoked sausage into rounds and cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked potatoes, sautéed sausage, ranch dressing, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melting consistency.
  • Broil for last 2-3 minutes for a crispy topping.
  • Add chopped bacon or diced onions before baking for extra flavor.
  • Adjust ranch dressing quantity for preferred creaminess.
