- 4 cups of diced potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and dice the potatoes into bite-sized cubes.
- Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Slice the smoked sausage into rounds and cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked potatoes, sautéed sausage, ranch dressing, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melting consistency.
- Broil for last 2-3 minutes for a crispy topping.
- Add chopped bacon or diced onions before baking for extra flavor.
- Adjust ranch dressing quantity for preferred creaminess.
