Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 hamburger buns or sandwich rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
- Butter or oil for toasting buns (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add the shredded chicken, and pour in the Alfredo sauce. Stir to combine and cook for about 3-5 minutes until heated through. Add garlic powder and black pepper.
- While the chicken mixture is warming, slice the buns and toast them lightly in a skillet with butter or oil until golden brown.
- Spread the warm chicken Alfredo mixture onto the bottom half of each toasted bun. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken mixture, then top with the other half of the bun and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover chicken Alfredo filling separately in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Assemble sandwiches just before serving to avoid sogginess.
- For gluten-free options, use gluten-free buns and Alfredo sauce.
