Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a large mixing bowl. Melt butter and add it to the bananas, stirring well.
- Mix in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually fold into the wet mixture, avoiding overmixing. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl for the swirl. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture evenly. Cover with remaining batter, then swirl gently with a knife or skewer to create a ripple effect.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate for up to one week for longer freshness.
- Freeze slices individually for quick snacks later.
