Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a large mixing bowl. Melt butter and add it to the bananas, stirring well.
  3. Mix in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually fold into the wet mixture, avoiding overmixing. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl for the swirl. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture evenly. Cover with remaining batter, then swirl gently with a knife or skewer to create a ripple effect.
  6. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
