Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (preferably 80/20 for juicy texture)
  • 4 burger buns, toasted to perfection
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese or your favorite meltable cheese
  • 8 strips of crispy bacon
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles (optional but recommended)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Butter or oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef with salt and pepper, divide into four patties with a slight indentation in the middle.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high and grill patties for 4-5 minutes each side, adding cheese in the last minute.
  3. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, then drain and set aside.
  4. Toast buns on the grill while prepping fresh vegetables.
