- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- In a large skillet, heat marinara sauce over medium heat. Add baked meatballs and simmer for 10 minutes.
Notes
- For added flavor, include a pinch of red pepper flakes in the meat mixture.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked or simmered in sauce before serving.
