- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: cherry tomatoes and extra basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 4 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish, top each with shredded mozzarella.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, then add heavy cream and basil, simmering for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour sauce over chicken and cheese, bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with additional basil and cherry tomatoes if desired, then serve hot.
Notes
- You can add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread for a complete meal.
