- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- Juice of half a lemon
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream, lemon juice, salt, and pepper; simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Return shrimp to the sauce to coat well. Serve over a bed of warm mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Use fresh garlic for the most robust flavor.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.
