- 12 oz pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, dried basil, and oregano. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add pasta directly into the sauce and stir well. Cover and cook until pasta is al dente, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan and fresh basil.
Notes
- Use good quality canned tomatoes for richer flavor.
- Adjust the cream for a thicker or thinner sauce.
- Shredded chicken or sautéed vegetables can be added for variety.
