These easy turtle bars are a luscious combination of chewy caramel, crunchy pecans, and smooth chocolate, layered on a buttery crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter; press into the bottom of a lined 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Bake crust for 8 minutes and let cool slightly.
  3. Spread caramel sauce evenly over the cooled crust, then sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips in 30-second intervals until smooth. Pour over the pecans.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • You can substitute walnuts or almonds for pecans.
  • For a thicker layer of caramel, add an extra few tablespoons.
