Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Add milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in diced apples.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto prepared baking sheet, forming small rounds.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Mix powdered sugar with a little milk to create a glaze. Drizzle over warm fritters before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cloves or ginger to the batter.
