- 1 cup chopped fresh apples

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- Mix melted butter and sugar in a bowl until well combined. Add eggs and vanilla, whisking until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chopped apples and nuts.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving. Garnish with additional nuts if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute walnuts with pecans or almonds for different flavors.
- Make sure to chop apples finely so they distribute evenly in the batter.
