- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear until golden on both sides, about 4 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 8 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add balsamic vinegar and honey, simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to skillet, coat with sauce, and cook for another 10 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- You can add cherry tomatoes or spinach for extra flavor and color.
- Serve with rice or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
