Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Divide dough into small portions and roll into balls, then flatten slightly on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with additional sugar on top.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on wire racks before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or lemon zest to the dough. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
