- 2 cups fresh green peas
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (parsley or thyme)
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the green peas for 2-3 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the cooked peas to the skillet, stirring well. Squeeze in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute lemon juice with a splash of white wine vinegar for extra tang.
- For a vegan version, replace butter with olive oil.
