- 2 tablespoons of coconut sugar or honey
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk or plant-based milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons of cinnamon sugar mixture (cinnamon and coconut sugar)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Add coconut sugar or honey, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil. Gradually pour in almond milk and stir until a soft dough forms.
- Shape the dough into small bites and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Bake the churro bites for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the churro bites and toss them immediately in a cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated. Serve warm.
