- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 8 lasagna noodles, broken
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet until cooked through, then drain excess fat.
- Add the cooked beef, onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning to the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Break the lasagna noodles into short pieces and add them to the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses before serving.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
- For a vegetarian version, replace meat with plant-based protein.
- Adjust seasoning to taste for more spice or herbs.
