- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground meat (beef or chicken)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully peel cabbage leaves and blanch them until soft, about 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, chopped onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Lay a cabbage leaf flat, place a spoonful of the filling in the center, then roll up, tucking in the sides.
- Place the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
- Pour tomato sauce over the rolls and drizzle with olive oil.
- Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes until cooked through.
