- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 2 cups cooked pulled beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant and translucent.
- Mix in pulled beef, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes; remove from heat and let cool.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut into squares of about 3 inches.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each square.
- Brush the edges with beaten egg, fold into a triangle or rectangle, and press to seal.
- Place the filled pastries on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with more beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- You can prepare the filling ahead of time and store it refrigerated.
- For a spicy kick, add chili flakes or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
