Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- In a large bowl, combine eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas; mix until well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients gradually to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
- You can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to customize your banana bread.
- Ensure not to overmix the batter to keep the bread moist and tender.
- Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Freeze slices for longer storage.
