- 3 cups Chex cereal
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Bring to a gentle boil and cook for 4-5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and sea salt.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the Chex cereal in a large bowl and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Spread the coated cereal on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes for even coating.
- Let cool completely before breaking into pieces and adding chopped nuts if desired.

- Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
- Feel free to add chocolate chips after baking for an extra indulgence.
