- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Flatten chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in flour, then eggs, then breadcrumb mixture.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

- Use fresh basil for best flavor.
- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes.
