- 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons dried Italian herbs
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the loaf into a grid pattern, slicing nearly through but not completely apart.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, and Italian herbs.
- Gently fan out the bread and insert cheese between the cuts.
- Place on a baking sheet and brush with herb butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Ensure cuts are not all the way through to keep the loaf intact.
- You can add cooked bacon or jalapenos for extra flavor.
